The only thing I know for sure is I won't be watching any live action rendition of Part 2, because I loath the story in Part 2. Initial reviews of the first episode are soothing this fear a bit, but I'll find out later tonight when I watch episode 1.
So, instead of being excited for the show, I was nervous it would fail to live up to the game and the caliber of acting from Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker and others.
